The 30th of the month would be the day I post my next "Celebrating Mary Brown" appplique block but I don't have a new one ready. I am taking a break from the project and working on unfinished projects and also creating Christmas pieces.

Time to share my next block for the "Celebrating Mary Brown" quilt I am working on. An easier block this month. The center section was meant to be empty but I added a small piece of toile for a bit of added interest.
I started a new quilt from a pattern by Dawn Heese. "Peace, Hope and Love". I am doing it as a block of the month using Dawn's fabrics. The floral print makes for pretty birds.

read moreHi there...Long time no see! I've been waiting to post so that I could include the Fall Festival quilt by Jan Patek. This is a quilt a long with Lori of Humble Quilts. Our homework for this month was to finish the blocks and flying geese on the inner portion of the quilt.
Here's mine.
If you've been following my blog or Lori's Humble Quilts blog, you know that she organized a group quilt-a-long doing Jan Patek's quilt, "Fall Festival.
Our homework this month was 3 more blocks and start working on the flying geese that are scattered throughout the quilt. I got my blocks finished, but haven't started on the geese because I haven't picked the fabric for my sashing.
I'm doing all the applique blocks using wool on cotton.
Here's what we did this month.
